Henry "Father Pat" Irwin was born in Newtownmountkennedy in County Wicklow,1859.As missionary,he went to British Columbia and became a local hero for his works among miners and others.He built churches there.My mother was an Irwin and deceased 9 years ago.Our family is going to the church in Ireland as part of a 12 day trip this month.Our descendants in Ireland were Anglican ministers for decades,Canada,and the US as well.
