Am looking for any info on my mother's family. My Grandmother was Maria Luisa Gonzalez, born in Durango,MX, about 1916. She married Pedro M. Noriega, but I don't know where. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad and was killed in a work related accident about 1930 or 1931. They were living in Douglas, AZ, Cochise County at the time, but can't find a death certificate for him in Arizona. He may have been killed in route to San Diego, CA. They had 2 daughters. Emily Anne, born in San Diego in 1929, and Olga Z, born May 17, 1931 in Douglas AZ. Believe the family had a ranch near Gleeson, AZ. My g-grandmother was Carmen De La Garza de Gonzalez, born 1878 in Chihuahua, MX. She married Federico Gonzalez and came to the states in 1927. I think Federico preceeded her and they seperated. After Pedro's death, Maria Luisa married Raymon Sanchez from El Freda, AZ, who I believe used to work on their ranch. They were living in CA at the time of their marriage in about 1940-41. According to some records I have, my mother and aunt were both christened at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bisbee and again at the Immaculate Conception church in Tombstone? in the early to middle 30's. Later again at the Spanish Presbiterian Church in Douglas. Where can I get more info, as I don't know if these churches still exist there. When my family lived in Gleeson and Douglas, they were good friends with a a family named Manuel & Socorro Mendoza and Nacho & Loretta Valdez. Wouldn't the death of Pedro have been in the Douglas paper? ANY information would be greatly appreciated.
Sandy
