My great-uncle Simon Kirkner Stiansen was born 7 april 1887 in Risor, Norway.

He emigrated to the USA in 1910 and lived for some time in Hoboken with his sister Marta Landswerk and her husband Anders Landsverk.

While in the USA he used the name Sam Stevenson. He died in Kansas City in 16 September 1954. He had also lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

When he died, his death certificate states that he was "divorced".

I have discovered that a Simon Stiansen marries Julia Andrine Johnston in Maricopa 13 December 1919:

In the 1920 census, Sam and Julia Stevenson (together with Julias son George Johnston, aged 5) lived in Maricopa, Arizona

Can anyone tell me more about this marriage? From where can I order a marriage certificate? When did they divorce? Where can I find information about this divorce? Did Simon and Julia have any children?
