I have information on the Jones Children on my public family tree. (Michaelfamilytree). I do not think that the Edith Jones's that you cited are the correct one, as my mother in law, (Carl's daughter) who was born in 1941 remembers going to an area near Peach Orchard Arkansas, with her parents to see her Grandmother.
The marriage you have for Carl is incorrect. Carl married Nora Pine in Jackson County MO. These are my husband's grandparents.
Edith Wood Jones (James Matthew's wife) is the one for whom I am hitting a brick wall. My mother in law had said she thought that son Charles had remained in Arkansas so I was hoping to find some descendants of his who may have more info on Edith.
I am not certain that Wood is her maiden name. The only marriage records I found in MO or AR (known residences) is for Edith Wood & JM Jones Married 21, Nov 1897 in Chicopee, Carter, Missouri The marriage record stated that Edith was underage but had her father's permission to marry. The location in far southern MO & Edith's approx age would seem to fit.
Thanks for your help. I just don't know where to go from here. Do you have any suggestions?
