Mary;
According to my research:
James T. Tracy (b: 1818 in SC, d: 1863 in AR) was one of 10 children born to Nathaniel H. Tracy and Mary (
Polly) Ann Henry of Spartanburg, SC.
James married Elizabeth
Fulcher (b: abt 1822 in
GA, d: 1878 in AR.) They had 7 children.
After Elizabeth died, James married Rebecca James (b: abt 1839). Their son, James
Terrell Tracy was born December 28, 1860 in
Baxter County AR.
He married Betty Frances Douglas (b: March 16, 1869, d: September 08, 1941 in
Baxter Co, AR). They had a daughter, May
Olive Tracy.
Nathaniel
Greenberry Tracy (b: abt 1830 in SC, d: July 29, 1903 in AR) was one of James’ brothers. My great grandfather (
Greenberry Tracy) grew up in his household after being orphaned at an early age. (We have not definitively identified Greenberry’s parents, nor his relationship with Nathaniel
Greenberry. We only know that he “was sent to live with his cousins”)
Nathaniel
Greenberry married Martha Ann Gray (b: 1829 in
KY). They had 6 children, one of whom was Henry
Cicero Tracy (b: December 30, 1850 in
GA, d: March 11, 1939 in Wilburton, OK).
Henry
Cicero Tracy married Rebecca
Smith (b:
Abt. 1859) of AR. They had 3 children, one of who was the other Nathaniel
Greenberry Tracy (b: October 13, 1883) you mentioned in your posting.
Note: After Martha Ann Gray Tracy died, Nathaniel married
Georgia Ann Hand of AR. I am unaware of any other wives.
Soooo….
James
Terrell Tracy is the son of the first James T. Tracy, and Elizabeth
Fulcher was his father’s first wife.
Nathaniel
Greenberry Tracy is the grandson of the first Nathaniel
Greenberry Tracy.
And FYI: James T. Tracy’s sister-in-law Mary A. Fulcher (b: October 29, 1824, d: March 01, 1886 in
Webster Co., GA) married one of his other brothers, William Perry Tracy (b: in SC September 25, 1819, d: in May of 1884 in
Webster Co., GA.) They had 10 children.
