I just came across your 2005 posting and noted you were looking for the parents of Ann(ie) Pendell who married William Ramsey. She was a younger sister of my great- grandfather, John L. Pendell and their parents were Plyny Pendell and Mary E. (Pollard) Pendell. Plyney was born in NY in 1801 to John Pendell and Malinda (Mack) Pendell and the family moved to Adams Co., Ohio about 1810. Mary was born in PA in 1803 and her parents were recorded as Perry & Nancy Pollard. I am not aware of any indian ancestry in the family. Plyny and Mary were married in Adams Co. OH in Dec., 1825 and moved to Kanawha Co. WV about 1827 or 1828.
Our Pendell ancestry goes to William Pendell who came to America from England in 1675 and settled in New London, CT where he married Mehitable Parker in 1676. I have not traced the ancestry back further and only recently found that William was a crew member on the ship "Friends Increase" out of Falmouth, England and jumped ship in an American port - probably Boston - in 1675. I hope this information is helpful, although in the past 3 years you may have already developed it from other sources.
