My grandfather John W. Campbell, and my great grandfather Orlando L. Green, were stationed at the railroad depot in Summers probably during the period of 1901-1913.
John W. was a telegraph operator and might have also been Station Agent. Orlando I am uncertain what his job might have been.
Orlando was also a photographer. Not sure whether he did any advertising, if so would like to have a copy of it.
He only had one leg and the family was originally from Ohio and Tennessee.
My great grandmother Anna Martha F. Price died July 31, 1912. She and Orlando's son Francis (Frank) Green died September 2, 1903. Both are buried in Granderville Cemetery. Frank also worked for a railroad.
Was there any death certificates issued during that period of time? Where might I find an obit if one was written?
In addition are there any references to their railroad work written in any histories that might have been written for that period of time or pictures taken by Orlando?
What railroad used the station at that time?
Will appreciate any little bit of information anyone might know about them.
