Hi cts605,
Cecelia was my mother's aunt. She went by Sissy. She was born to Gaspard Jeannotte and Agnes Roy. Gaspard was born on the Turtle Mountain Reservation in Manitoba. Agnes was born in or near St. John,N.D. Gaspard died around the time Sissy was born or before or shortly after her birth. Agnes had 3 other children, Clara Jeannotte Hubbard, Delia Jeannotte (married and lived in Manitoba, and Pierre Alexander Jeannotte (my grandfather). After Gaspard died, Agnes married a man last name Moodie. They had one son, Norman Moodie. Moodie died or divorce, and Agnes married Goins (Goines, Goin). Not sure of the spelling.
My grandfather left St. John and ended up in San Francisco. He told me prior to his death he joined the Army at age of 16. He didn't like it and wen AWOL and ended up on Alcatraz in the military prison. Once the military found out he was under the age of 18 he was released. My grandparents lived in Felton, Santa Cruz County, CA. for the majority of their lives.
Sissy and Rudy had one daughter, Dorothy. Dorothy had three children. I do not remember the kids names other than Randy, and Susan. Randy died in the mid 1970 as a young teenager due to a brain tumor. I remember the family when they would visit my grandparents for family parties in Felton.
Clara lived in Renton, WA. She would visit my grandparents time to time.
My mother told me that her father didn't know Sissy until sometime in 1940. When ELiza (just learned her name from your post) passed away. Eliza told Sissy who her bio family was and how to contact them.
I hope you read this soon, would love to chat with you.
