At the turn of the 20th century, George H. Morrison was a prominent citizen of Alameda. He was president of the History Publishers in San Francisco, he was active in the Knights of Pythias and the International Order of Oddfellows, and he was a former assemblyman in Nevada.
Then in 1902, he filed for bankruptcy and drops off the face of the earth after that.
How can I get his probate records? How do I find out what happened to him after 1902? Is the Alameda newspaper indexed? I've written to the library in that town, but they haven't responded.
Any help you can possibly provide, I would appreciate.
