I am providing what information I have in hopes that someone reading this will be able to shed some light on my NC Buchanan relatives that went westward.
Does anyone have any information about John Anderson Buchanan, son of Joseph Leonard Buchanan [NC[ and Nancy Jane Hicks [NC] born in NC 1876, lived at various times in WY, Idaho, and CA?
1910 John was living in Twin Falls Idaho.
1918 John registered for the WWI draft, Eureka, Humboldt, CA.
In 1920 John is living in Bucksport, Humboldt, CA with wife Cordelia, daughter Nora 14 b. in Idaho and son Theadore 12 b. in Idaho.
John's brother Burgin "Bert" Buchanan b. NC, wife Jennie [b. Utah] and daughter Birdina [ b. 1914 Idaho] are also living in Twin Falls, Idaho in 1910, and in Stanley Custer Idaho in 1920.
Bert and Jennie's daughter Birdina is in the Twin Falls, Custer Idaho census in 1930 living with her uncle Richard Marvin Angel, b. 1871 WI, d. 22 Sep 1938 Fairfield, Camas, ID, an attorney, and his wife Ida (Platts?) b. 1887 Idaho.

WHERE ARE Burgin "Bert" & WIFE JENNIE IN 1930? CA? Does anyone have any info. on Birdina and why she was living with her uncle Richard and aunt Ida?
Note: Cordelia used various names: Delia, Cordelia, and Deal Jane.
Cordelia Callaway (Calloway) was first married to John Henry Winters. He died in 1902 in Deweyville, Utah. She brought to the marriage a daughter Maggie b. 1898. Maggie went by the name Winters, but probably at some time also went by Buchanan. Her biological father was probably Alfred Johnson, NC?
Maggie is found in WY in 1900, in Idaho,in 1910, but where is she in 1920? (Her mother Cordelia is in Humboldt, CA in 1920.)
