CONSTANCE "CONNIE" PAULINE DALTO 1920-2003

Longtime Ridgecrest resident Constance "Connie" Pauline Dalto died Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital. She was 82.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 3, from 5 to 7 pm at Holland & Lyons Chapel. A memorial celebration will be held Friday, July 4, at 10 am at First Baptist Church. Dr. Ray Teston, pastor, will officiate.

Dalto was born July 23, 1920 in Lynchburg, Ohio. She moved to Ridgecrest in 1947.

She became the first Community Hostess for Ridgecrest in the mid 1950s. She was a Pink Lady at Drummond Hospital. She bowled in the local bowling league and was a member of one of the first women's teams to bowl in the Men's State Bowling Tournament.

She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

Her family says this about her: "All who met her could see the love of Jesus in her eyes and the sparkle of joy she shared with all."

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Fred and Vickie Whitnack of Ridgecrest, son and daughter-in-law Gary and Cheryl Whitnack of Ridgecrest, daughter and son-in-law Sue and Paul Lewis of Ridgecrest, daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Leo Weakland of San Jose, daughter and son-in-law Rana and David Fyffe of Orangevale, 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren
