Hello,

I heard recently that family search.org has started putting images of California marriage and death certs online. I'm trying to locate the death cert for my GG grandfather, John Adams, who was born in NY in 1849 and died in Los Angeles, California on May 20, 1938 - age 89 (per CADI). His wife, Katherine Johnson, predeceased him in 1906 back in NY. He is buried in Grand View Memorial Park in Glendale, LA, California (per Find A Grave).

I have been unsuccessful so far in finding his death cert on the family search web site. I put in his name, the date and place of death and I get results for deaths for John Adams in Ohio, Texas, etc or things like census results. Any advice on how to narrow my search or what I may be doing wrong? Is there a way to just search for death certificate records in Los Angeles?

I'm looking to confirm if his parents were Michael Adams and Catherine Litchfield.
