Paid Death Notice
HUOT, David A. - died early Monday at his parents' home in Rohnert Park in the company of his loving family. He was 37 years old. David was born on July 18,1962 in Aberdeen, Md. The son of an Army officer, he moved around the country and the world with his parents and three older brothers before settling down in Terra Linda in 1972.
David graduated from Terra Linda High in 1981, attended Junior College in Chico, and graduated with a management degree from Sonoma State University in 1986. He worked in sales and marketing with various companies in the Bay Area and had just begun a promising career as a District Sales Manager with the National Association of Manufacturing when he was diagnosed with brain cancer in February 1990.
Those closest to David will remember him as a courageous warrior who never gave up the fight, even with the odds stacked against him. He will be remembered for his love of fishing and the outdoors, his fondness for spicy food and his overall zest for life, particularly nightlife. He will be sorely missed.
David is survived by his parents, Peter and Amy; his grandmother, Irene; his brothers, Peter, Eric and Chris; his sisters-in-law, Kathy, Jen and Katherine; his niece, Ashley and his nephews Matthew, Sean and Alex.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at 5706 Davis Circle in Rohnert Park. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the VNA Hospice of Santa Rosa, 1110 N. Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa, Calif. 95401. Arrangements under the direction of Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, Petaluma, Calif.
