CURRY, John Patrick -- Peacefully passed away at his home in Novato, CA from cancer on December 29, 2000. He was 64 years of age. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Susan Curry, natives of County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. Born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, he was a resident of Marin County for 60 years and a graduate of Marin Catholic High School. While in the Navy, he served aboard the U.S.S. Kearsarge. He was a member of Novato Elks Lodge #2655. During his lifetime, he participated in softball, bowling, volleyball, tennis, golf and the History Channel. He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife Patsy; daughters Jenny Mackey and son-in-law Bruce of Rohnert Park, Colleen Ortiz and son-in-law Bob of Tracy, and son John Curry of Moses Lake, Washington; sisters Peggy Curry of San Rafael, Susan Burnett; and brother-in-law Jack of Santa Cruz; and grandsons Conner, Mitchell and Bryce.
A memorial service will be held on January 13, 2001 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 1806 Novato Blvd., Novato, CA.
