JACOB (Jake) HART REMAS
Jacob Hart Remas of Larkspur was a student at the University of California at San Diego, where he was studying engineering with the intention of finding a career in automotive engineering, design and mechanics. He died Dec. 11 in an automobile accident. He was 19.
Mr. Remas was born in Redwood City and was a lifelong resident of Larkspur. He was a graduate of Marin Country Day School and Redwood High School. Mr. Remas was active in the Twin Cities Little League and was an assistant baseball coach at Marin Country Day School. He was an accomplished auto enthusiast and enjoyed racing mountain bikes, off-roading and modifying muscle cars.
He is survived by his parents, Ace and Marsha Remas of Larkspur; brother, Eli Remas of Larkspur; sister, April Mason of Tampa Bay, Fla.; and grandparents, Robert and Helen Aaron of Laguna Hill and Lois Remas of Mount Angel, Ore.
Services are 10 a.m. today at Congregation Rodef Sholom, 170 N. San Pedro Road, San Rafael. Burial will be at ShaArei Shalom at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.
