Edward Boronda
Edward Boronda, a life-long resident of Southern Monterey County, died Monday night at a Salinas hospital at the age of 77.
Born at Lucia, Boronda resided in the Jolon area prior to his death. He was a veteran of World War I.
Boronda is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Anabelle Willets of Ventura; three sisters, Mrs. George Harris Sr. of King City, Mrs. Josie Becker of San Diego, and Mrs. Isabelle Buell of San Francisco; and a brother Santos Boronda of King City.
Also surviving are a half-sister, Mrs. Pat Avila of King City; and three half-brothers; Tim Boronda of Bryson, Ben Boronda of Greenfield and Steven Chavoya of Salinas; Two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive the decedent.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the Ree C. Grim funeral chapel in King City; thence to Mission San Antonio for a requiem mass at 10 a.m. Interment will full military honors will follow in King City Cemetery. A rosary service for Boronda will be recited Thursday night at 8 o'clock at the Grim funeral chapel.
