So, your Alejandro appears to have married Isabelle Traverso, maiden name Vargas. The marriage record might be in either name. Carl was born in Napa County. The 1920 Census of CA, shows a John Traverso, inmate at th Napa State Hospital. He was 37 (1882/1883) born in CA to both parents born in Italy. He matches certain criteria, but there is NO PROOF he was the husband of Isabelle.
--The WWI Draft cards show this person at the hospital, name only, refused to sign.
