Yes, he died in California. BUT, based on his movements and family, I doubt if you'll find an obit there. He may have been visiting, passing through, or ?

I'd contact the cemetery to see what documenation they have. Sometimes they have records. If they have the name of the funeral company(s) handling the service, contact them. They might have a transfer permit, burial permit, etc.

Dorrance was born in IA, received his SSN in Utah in 1962(Based on his family [below], he was probably in Utah staying with his daughter). He took his wife, Wilma, to Europe in 1948. His daughter, Eleanor, born about 1923/1924.

Dorrance W Mann, age 43 (1896/1897), born in IA. He was a mail carrier/Government. Living at 373 Lincoln, was living there in 1935.

Eleanor, age 16(1923/1924).

--I find a Trude Bott in Salt Lake City, also is a Rich Bott. Another database shows Richard A. Bott and Trude Bott (also with Timothy and Joann) in Kaysville and Park City UT; Plano, TX, and three PA addresses.
