I only had a newspaper announcement prior to that and it seems to confirm that Frances was married at some point to a Lewis. Her birth name was Frances Leonora Creighton and she came to California from Nova Scotia when she was very young so that marriage should be registered in California as well, prior to 1905 but I've yet to find it.
