Some info on your search:
First, often the names of persons doing obits are not removed when the person quits doing them.
Margaret, born 1907, died 1982, buried in the Alpine Cemetery:http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=ch...
The stone does not identify the date of his death. This "indicates" the stone was made at the time of her death. This might just be a case of no one in the family paying to have the stone changed; or this is a Cenotaph, meaning he wasn't buried there.
--I'd suggest contact of the cemetery to determine if he is there (he probably is and you have that information); but also to see what information they may have in records. Some maintain copies of burial permits, death certificates, obits. If they have the name of the funeral company handling, contact them. They often have copies of obits as they usually write them, or see to their publication.
