Esther Woehl


Esther Woehl, 73, of Lodi, died July 19 in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 22, 1930, in Venturia, N.D.

Ms. Woehl moved to Lodi in 1958. She worked for 35 years in the retail industry, and was employed by Woolworth's and then J.C. Penney's until her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening and visiting with friends.

She is survived by her son, Mark Woehl, of Lodi; daughter, Debbie Newhall, of Lodi; brother, Edward Golz, of Ashley, N.D.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers; and four sisters.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in the chapel.
