Thank you, Carol. I found that exhibit online and have e-mailed the museum asking for information about Mabel's life and her works. I doubt that the watercolor I have is of one of Stockton's homes since it appears to be buried in snow. I suppose I should check old Stockton weather records before making that assumption though! I seem to recall my late grandmother's saying that Mabel was a friend of the family although learning that connection is pretty much out of the question since my grandmother, Mabel, and at least one of her sons are all deceased.
