Ralph Fisher

Dr. Ralph Fisher, pediatrician, died at home after an illness on May 16, 1999. He was born on February 6, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois. After serving in the U.S. Army 507 Medical Corps. Division he completed his pediatric residency in San Francisco. He married his loving wife Lynn, in 1951. They celebrated 44 years together until her death in 1995. Dr. Fisher established his pediatric practice in San Carlos in 1951. He was much loved and respected by his many patients, and the community. Dr. Fisher also gave to the community through his many volunteer activities. After retiring from his practice in 1988, Dr. Fisher worked for the State of California, Dept. of Disability from 1988 to 1998 where he received several awards for his significant contributions.
Ralph has two daughters, their husbands and families; Lisa and Dan O'Brien, their children, Michael, Gavin, Allison and Tracy of Foster City, and Stacey and Mike Mainer and their children, Aaron and Elana of Spokane, WA. His grandchildren were precious to him. Dominque Forrester was like a daughter to him and held a special place in his heart and in the heart of his family. Myrtle McMiller's friendship was cherished by Ralph and will always be treasured by his family. She has always been an angel for the Fisher family.
Ralph Fisher was dearly loved by all. He is remembered for his kindness, compassion and wonderful sense of humor.
