I'm not researching Samuel Powell Box but I have the obituary of a Samuel P. Box (1839-1917), resident of Tulare and San Francisco Counties. The obituary indicates his children, Reuben, Andrew and Alma, resided in Trinity County. Other family members are mentioned as well.
