Classification: Query
Surnames: Adams, Weaver, Bailey, Cornelison
Researching a group of pioneers who came to Oregon in 1850 but may have first arrived in California in 1849 or so.
John Adams, Sr. - born 1774 in Botetourt, VA
John Adams, Jr. - born about 1809 in TN
Henry Adams - born about 1828 in TN
Sarah Jane Adams - born 1833 in TN
Anna Adams Weaver
William Weaver
possibly with them:
Joseph Columbus Cornelison - born in TN
Elizabeth Adams Bailey
Isaac Bailey - born Clay County, Kentucky
This group claimed approximately 3,200 acres near each other in Douglas County, Oregon by 1851.
They had been living (some of them, at least) in Taney County, Missouri, prior to their departure for the West.
The Cornelisons are well-researched, but I cannot find the Adams and Weaver extended families.
Thank you,
Shirley
