My greatgrandpa's brother, Ole L. ESSE, b. 1/28/1860 on Ese farm, Balestrand, Sogn, Norway, came to USA 1861 & married his cousin Sithone/Citrona JOHNSON, b. 1858, Norway, dtr. of Anna Esse and Jonas KVALHEIM. They may have first moved to Kansas and then to CA, county unknown. They may have had sons named Arthur ESSE, Taft ESSE, Monroe ESSE.
