Robert LeRoy “Bob” Renoad, 64, of Brighton, died Aug. 29, 2002, in Denver of injuries sustained in a horse accident.
He was born Aug. 20, 1938, in Platteville to Clarence and Elizabeth (Hortense) Renoad.
He lived in the Weld County area most of his life. He graduated from Erie High School in 1957.
He married Shirley J. Schaal in 1958.
He was a dispatcher for Navajo Express Trucking.
He was a square dance caller for many years. He raised border collies, and enjoyed ranching, cattle and horses. He loved life with his family and animals.
He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Paint Horse Association and Cutting Horse Association.
Mr. Renoad is survived by a son, Joel Renoad of Loveland; daughter, Patty Moore and husband Mike of Loveland; brother Rick Renoad and wife Sandy of Firestone; sister Norma Harper of Longmont; grandchildren Cody and Brandy Moore of Loveland, nieces Lisa Bartley, Aimee Ross, Sarah Rademacher and Bobbie Ann Poulas; nephews Jay Markle and Skip Harper; friend and business partner Bobby Stewart; as well as cousins, aunts and great-nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Chuck Renoad.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont, with David Bradshaw of Lifebridge Christian Church officiating.
