Clarence Boller died in Kansas in October 1918, and at the time of his death his parents (Jacob and Cassie Boller) were still in Colorado (hotel in Aurora), Cassie too ill to travel (source: Clarence's obituary). I've done some further research in the last several days, and it looks like Clarence's mother Cassie had a brother (Frank Conro) who had moved to Colorado so I will assume they traveled there to see him? It sounds like Colorado had one of the highest rates of flu during that second wave. . . so did they go to visit, care for sick, funeral? Am still doing research around that.
Are you researching the Bollers as well?
Thanks for your reply!
