Lycurgus was a great, great grandfather of mine. He was a cattleman and a lawman in Baggs, Wyoming, born Aug. 25, 1846, in St. Joseph, Missouri.

He had two sons, Kirk and Lloyd, who had a ranch near Lander, Wyoming. One of Lloyd's sons, Roscoe, was my grandfather, and is still living, currently in a retirement center in Pinedale, Wyoming, where he made his home for about 30 years, before moving to run a ranch near Livingston, Montana, until this year (2012).
