Theda Dickerman Sisbower, 91, of Loveland, formerly of Connecticut, died July 30, 2003, at Alterra Sterling House in Loveland.
She was born Nov. 10, 1911, in Milldale, Conn., to Raymond Porter and Louise Clark Dickerman. She graduated from St. Margaret’s School in Waterbury, Conn., and attended Pine Manor College in Wellesley, Mass.
She married William Wallace Sisbower on April 18, 1936, in Plantsville, Conn. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.
She moved to Colorado in 1999 following her husband’s death.
She was very active as a community volunteer, working with the Junior League in Connecticut, the Red Cross Gray Ladies and caring for the elderly homebound members of her church.
She was a member of the North Congregational Church in Woodbury, Conn. She served on the Church Women’s Fellowship Board and the Board for the Heritage Village Ladies Golf Association in Southbury, Conn.
She enjoyed cooking, flower arranging, golf and bridge.
She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth S. Bush and husband George of Warsaw, Va., Deborah S. Lingwood and husband Elden of Raymond, Maine, and Elaine S. Anderson and husband Stephens of Longmont; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick W. Dickerman; and two sisters, Katherine D. Treadway and Dorothy D. Treadway.
No visitation is scheduled.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. today at Alterra Sterling House, 2895 N. Empire Ave., Loveland.
A graveside service will be held in mid-August at Oakhill Cemetery in Southington, Conn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Least of These (a ministry to orphans) or to the American Red Cross in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont, 80501-5440.
