Mrs. Lilah M. Sarles, 76, of 811 White Ave., died at noon Saturday in her home. She had been a resident of Grand Junction for 30 years and formerly lived in Silverton and Telluride.
Lilah Martha Schaffer was born March 21, 1894, at Aurora, S.D. Her childhood was spent there and she attended Hole-Ross Business College at Grand Junction.
Her marriage to Mack R. Sarles was on June 18, 1921, in Grand Junction. Mr. Sarles, who was in mining, died in 1963.
Survivors are three sisters, including Mrs. Theodore (Katharine) Oyler of Paonia and Mrs. William (Ethel) Allen of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mrs. Sarles was a member of Assembly of God Church and Sunshine Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

Funeral services for Lilah M. Sarles, 76, 811 White Ave., will be held in Martin’s Chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Robert P. Northrop of the First Assembly of God Church officiating. Eastern Star services will be conducted by Sunshine Chapter No. 53. Burial will be in Municipal Cemetery.
