I just got a picture of the gravestone which only gives the year she died, so No exact date is available. She was born in 1910 in Buena Vista, Colo., to James Newitt & Rachel E. Dodge. Thanks.

Brandon Dodge
I believe at one time the Calvary Cemetery was owned and taken care of by he Catholic Church. Vito brother Giuseppe Sulli (Joseph Sully/Sulley) bought several plots in about 1906 when his first son Paul Sully died, and several members of his family are buried around these plots (Joseph (d 1952) his wife Carmen Sulley (d 1983), and several others in the same area, but no Vito (although there an unmarked grave in the area. I will be in GJ this weekend and will get the location of the grave and try to find out who is buried there. Joseph only surviving child, Louise Reid (niece to Vito) told me it was some one who was buried, but did not pay for the headstone and it was removed. One of the brothers Giuseppe Sulli, changed his name to Josephy Sully and finally about 1920 to Sulley. A brother Felix lived in GJ from 1888 until about 1920 and than moved to Weber, Utah. He using the name Sully.
The newspaper article (GJ 1900) states the "Italian colony" took case of the funeral arrangements. I assume they meant the Catholic church. Perhaps they could not get in touch of on of the brothers that live in GJ as the funeral the day after the train ran over him and killed him. Would the church have any record of the Vito Sulli funeral ?

I have a March 14,1900 newspaper article (GJ Daily Sentinel) that states Vito Sulli was struck and killed by a train in Ruby, Colo on March 13, 1900 and burried in the Orchard Mesa Cemetery in GJ. The Death Cetifiate verifies this inforamtion and states the place of interment was Orchard Mesa on March 14, 1900. I cannot find his name of on the list for the all Mesa County cemeteries..
Can some help me find the grave site? This is my wife grandfather's brother.
rk

Plenty of Ewing's but no but no obit for Samuel E.Ewing.
Checked with the cemetary and they do not have any record for him.
Are you sure he was in Mesa County? or did he have another name he used.
Robert W.
