Thanks for your effort. I'll have to quiz my father some more. That's the story he's told us for years that his father told him. Supposedly, my grandfather came over in 1905 at age 19 to see his brother in Telluride, who was supposed to have been a mining engineer. Maybe He died from something else while living there. Afterwards, my grandfather moved to East St. Louis to continue his pipe fitter career. I've sent an email to him for more details.
