Michele, Baxter Wilson was my Gr Gr grandfather. Both myself and a distant cousin, Don Wilson, of York, PA have been trying to uncover addition info on Solomon. In fact there is no documentation we can find that specifically links Alanson Wilson to a Solomon Wilson. Alanson was Baxter's father. We did find a marriage record in Great Barrington, Mass (1823) for Alanson Willson marriage to Julia Ann Bradley. Interesting Wilson in the record was spelled with two L's. Seeems at one time Wilson in our line was spelled with two L's. I had my ethnic DNA done and learned my Wilson branch is 49% Scandinavian (Viking line) and most the of rest is British Isles( Scotland, Ireland, UK). Solomon Wilson/Willson is a huge mystery perhaps DNA will someday solve it. Dr Jim Wilson, MD of Wellsboro is in our line and heard at one time he had done a lot of work tracing the Wilson line.
