After many years of research, I have reached the conclusion that James Bradley, son of William Bradley and Elizabeth Chidsey married Sarah Beard, daughter of James and Joanna (Walker) Beard of the Parish of Ripton. She is erroneously listed in genealogies as having married a Blackman, but that Sarah was actually her niece. James and Sarah's son Joseph named one of his son's Beard. He is often listed as Bayard, but his tombstone says Beard.
