Surnames: MUNSON, GUESS, GOULD, PORTER, WETHERBEE, WILLARD, PRATT
Does anyone know what would have been done with children who lost both parents within a years time in 1829? Amzi Munson and his wife Belinda Guess died 9 months apart in Southington,Hartford,CT in 1828-1829. They had five children . Their children were Lamira Munson b. 1815,John Harvey Munson b. 1817, Sarah Munson b. 1821,Nancy b. 1824 and Susan Maria b. 1826.
In looking at the dates of death for the parents and 2 of the girls Sarah and Susan they all died between February 1827 and April 1829.Leaving 14 yr. old Lamira, 12 year old John Harvey and 5 year old Nancy. If they had family close by ,would there still have been court records involved in the placement of the children? I know that Lamira Munson stayed in Southington and md. Ezra Pratt in 1837 there.John Harvey Munson md. Jane Elizabeth Aime Gould
in 1848 but I am not sure in what state. She was b. in NY and they ended up in Napoleonville,Assumption Parish,LA.
Is there anyone that could do a lookup for me to see where Amzi and Belinda Guess Munson and their daughters were
buried ? Any information on these families would be greatly appreciated.
