This information is from my grandmother, Beulah W. Marsh
William Ambrose Marsh (1774-1833) is my ggg grandfather. He was a native of Litchfield Conn. and a graduate of a New Eng. College (?) A schoolmaster, he settled in Pike County near Milford on the Lackawaxen Creek. He married Susan Cox. Was buried in Mason Hill, PA
Children:
Jesse lived in NY and KA, fought in the Civil War
Earl loved the sea. Believed killed in the draft riots
John was with Perry at opening of the ports of Japan. Lived in Baltimore
Mary Jane m. Mr. Brink, lived in Salamanca NY
Althea also lived in Salamanca
Elmira m. Mr. Paugh. Lived in Bradford PA
David Foster (my gg grandfather) m. Clara Selena Barr
They had 7 children:
William Ambrose 1856 m. Elizabeth Logue
Austin 1858
Thomas Sumter 1860 m. Sarah Jordan
Delbert 1862 m. Myrtle White & Delia Price
David Foster Jr. 1867 died in infancy
Nellie 1870 m. Mr. Driver
and
Wesley Uriah 1864 -1948 (my g grandfather) m. Jennie Lane
