My great-grandfather Frances Allen was born around 1897 in Deep River, Connecticut. His parents were both full Irish; I'm not sure if they were born in Ireland or the US. They were killed in a train wreck when Frances and his two brothers were young. Frances and his brothers grew up in the Sisters of St Joseph Orphanage in Deep River. One is his brothers was named Art (Arthur), and the other is unknown. The oldest brother, whose name I'm not sure of, left as soon as he was 18 and they never heard from him again. I was wondering; does anyone know if SSJO keeps records on who lived there? Does anyone know the Allens of Deep River? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
