If you type in Angelo Raffael Garofano in search on ancestry.com there are quite a few finds eg. Naturalization records from Massachussets. Unfortunately, you will need to subscribe (but only for a short period) to have a look at these.
By the way - Carnation is english for Garofano (you probably know this anyway).
