Hi Charlene - I just recently found out that a son of my great grandfather was a patient at Mansfield at the age of 14 yrs old in the 1930 census. Since the hospital was closed, do you have any ideas of where I could see what happened to him? Unfortunately his name is a bit common, Norman William Smith born abt 1916 in Rutland, Vermont to William L Smith & Agnes M Young. Is there a place to look to see where people went to group homes or if he died while admitted there? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
