Hi Again
I don't know the timeframe where this NPE may have happened but found these today in Ed Wright's "Judgement Records of Dorchester,QueenAnne and Talbott Counties"
June Term 1744
p.42 Presented that Larany Spicer of Great Choptank Parish, spinster on 10 Feb 1743 committed fornication and begat a bastard child.7 lashes Fees of the court paid by Capt.Henry Traverse
p.43 Presented that Mary Spencer of Great Choptank Parish, spinster on 10 Feb 1743 committed fornication and begat a bastard child. 10 lashes.Benjamin Granger paid the fees[The name of the child is later given as Richard Spicer]
pg.49
William Travers surety to idemnify the county from maintencance of the bastard Child of Larany Spicer.
IS it possible that Hales Spicer is descended from one of these two women or their children?
If so Hales Spicer might have DNA different from other Spicers..
dunno as I have not looked at this.
