Classification: Will
Surnames: Spence, Jester
I am looking for the connection of the Spence family of DE to my Jester family from DE(before 1761), NC, GA (by 1810). Sidney Spence m. Jacob Jester in 1798 Guilford Co, NC and the bondsman was Nathan Spence. Is this the same Nathan who is listed as a son of John Spence in the will from Sussex Co, DE? The name Spence is probably the married name of Sidney, as she had a son named John Spence when she married Jacob Jester. I have wondered if this is the child of Enoch, who also was mentioned in the will. In addition, a son of Sidney and Jacob Jester, Nathan, married Tamsy Spence in 1821 in Morgan County, GA. Is she possibly the daughter of Nathan Spence of NC, making her the neice of the Tamsey mentioned in the will of John Spence. Any help on this puzzle would be so appreciated.
