Clyde was born Clyde A. Durgee in Syracuse NY in 1900. I have his birth certificate. He left his wife & 2 children (my father was 6 months old at the time), changed his name to Clyde Murphy and moved to Buffalo NY where he commited bigamy by marrying again without divorcing his first wife (my grandmother, Doris).
