I am looking for any information on John Alexander Osteen Sr. b. 1747 in Carteret Co. NC, moved to SC, GA, and then to Columbia Co. FLA in 1833 - 1835 and died there either in Feb 15, 1841 or Jan 23, 1842 (two different sources). Hopefully, an obituary stating John's parents and/or children may have been printed at the time of his death. Also maybe someone has acesss to a will from this time.

There is quite a bit of information printed in the Pioneers of Wire Grass GA volumes. But I would be glad to benefit from anything anyone has to offer.

I am also interested in Levi Reubin Osteen (b. Apr 15, 1788 in Carteret NC) son of John Alexander Osteen Sr. and Ada Weeks who moved to SC and then to Columbia Co. FLA sometime between 1840 and 1850. Levi Reubin died in 1854. If anyone has any information, photos, stories etc. on Levi and/or parents and family, obituary or etc. please reply here or send me an E-Mail.
