Allen Robinson JONES was born in Barbour Co. AL 11 Dec 1844, son of Allen and Mary Jane JONES who had come to Alabama from Georgia. He served with the Alabama Cadets during the Civil War and came to Florida in 1868 and settled in Santa Rosa Co. He then moved to Walton Co. where he served as County Treasurer. He resigned because of health and moved to Pensacola where he lived until his death. He married Sarah HART, dau. of Allen HART of Walton, FL. Allen JONES served in the Florida State Senate ad was president of the Escambia Realty Co.
