Hi I am looking for anyone that has info on Edward Lee Purse Sr. He was born about 1908 and died October 1962 in Cameron Louisianna. He married my grandmother Lucy Sturgis in 1929 in St. Johns County Florida. They had children Ed. Jr, Norma and Emil Purse. They divorced in 1946 and again in 1948. My grandmother married my grandpa Leon Ussery between the years 1948 and 1950. Ed Sr's surviving children do not know much about thier father. We believe he may have been married to a Joan (not sure of her last name). He was a shrimp boat captain and died at sea. His body was shipped to Ft. Myers florida where he is burried. Family history goes that his family was from St. Marys, Georgia. Edward Lee Purse Sr's father may have committed suicide before 1930. Have a connection with the name Joseph Augustine. Uncle Ed. Jr. believes the Augustine's may have helped raise his Ed. Sr. We are unsure of his mothers name. He had a brother Charley and James (maybe called Jim)and possibly a sister Sally.
