Hi Grace. George Washington Peterson and Elizabeth (Betsy) Ann Yeates married in 1850 in Clinch County, GA, then moved to Hamilton County, Fl, by 1860. Their children were James, John and Mary. Uncle Wash joined the CSA, went to Virginia and served honorably. Something happened when he came home in 1865 and moved to Volusia County, Fl, close to Barberville, Fl, by 1870 alone (Elizabeth stayed in Hamilton County). His older son by Elizabeth came to Volusia County by 1880 and lived close to Uncle Wash. Uncle Wash married Jane Hall in 1877 and had children Robert, Agnes and Duncan. Uncle Wash died in 1906 and is buried with Jane, Robert, and Agnes in Purdom cem. Barberville, Fl. Elizabeth is supposedly buried along with the other Yeates in Pinellas County, Fl, I believe. I haven't confirmed her marriage to James R. Sauls or where she is buried.
