RICHARDS, Frank O., 72, of Mulberry, Fla., passed away May 8, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dale; and brothers, Wayne, Nubie and Ross Richards. He is survived by one daughter, Donna, and son-in-law, William Cole; and three sons, David and wife, Angie, Larry Richards, and Chris and wife, Kayla; soon-to-be- born granddaughter, Abby; and one brother, Robert and wife, Helen Richards. Frank was the middle son of five boys. He grew up in Palmetto Beach, Fla. He worked exclusively for CSX from the age of 18 until he retired. His ancestry can be traced back to the Mayflower, as he was a direct descendent of John Alden. His family later crossed the Alafia River to Fishhawk in 1881, when Tampa's population was only 700. The Richards family later migrated from Fishhawk to Palmetto Beach, where they built and ran the area's first general store for many years. A memorial service will take place at 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Stowers Brandon Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Frank lived and loved history, and loved fishing and hunting. He was a rock! He will be deeply missed and forever loved. Stowers - Brandon
