"Suddenly on July 26, 1939 at sea aboard the S. J. N. Pew Chief Engineer Walter L. Carter". Yes, I realize this Baltimore newspaper obit states he died at sea and theoretically, he there might not be a death cert, but there are rumors he died in the vicinity of Key West and therefore, Monroe County. Anyone willing to help me out? Walter's body was shipped back to his family in Baltimore. He is buried in the family plot.
