Surnames: ROSS/GOFF/Pennington/Lanier
Trying to locate Dicks Family relatives associated with the ROSS/GOFF/Pennington/Lanier Families of North Florida -Suwannee County. My GAunt Dollie(?) ROSS/Lanier married a Dr. Dicks from the St Pete/Tampa areaon 16 Sept 1914. Dr Dicks first name is unknown. They had the following children: Leslie, b. 4 Dec 1916; Ella, b. 25 Sept 1916; Mattie, b. 23 Feb 1922; Gladis, b. 23 Jan 1925. Dr Dicks was known to have a summer home on the Withlacoochee River. Any help in locating or obtaining information on these relatives would be greatly appreciated.

I would certainly make contact with Mr. Lanier. I don't know if his address is current. Looks like your cousin has done quite a bit of work on this family, and sure you have information he doesn't have.

I've only cut and pasted a small portion of the file Mr. Lanier has at the LDS website. Looks like he goes back a few more generations with the Ross, LANIER and related families.

He may already have the obituaries for all of the folks, but if he doesn't, I may be able to help you out once we verify death dates, location, etc. You would probably want to get death certificates for everybody first and then look for obituaries.

I have access to just about all the old Florida papers on microfilm, but I don't do lookups as a volunteer.
